We could not miss one of the most important photography events in Poland!

On 29-30 September in Tauron Arena in Krakow, a large number of speakers and exhibitors gathered in one place, presenting the latest photo and video solutions.

At our stand, you could test such new gear as the MF12 macro kit or the latest revision of the V860III speedlite flash

Workshops

In addition to our stand, where you could talk to us or rent Godox gear - we also took care of the practical part!

The first workshop was led by Łukasz Piecyk, who introduced the participants to studio photography. On the occasion of the approaching Halloween we decided to create a moody, dark atmosphere. Stylization for the model were made by the designer Mateusz Gurgul. Beautiful model Hanna Górska with make-up made by Aleksandra Kaczka completed the whole set.

Dark Beauty

During the show we used a set of AD1200Pro, AD300Pro and AD200Pro mobile, rechargeable flash units. In order to show the mobility and lightness of the flashes, we often changed the setup, starting with a classic setting: a P120L softbox with double diffusion as the main light. The lights with SB-FW series rectangular modifiers worked as a counter-light. We also used the AD1200pro and 120cm Softbox in one of the setups as a background, giving the scene more drama. Towards the end of the session we attached a reflector from the AD300pro kit.

Fashionable flash or flash in fashion?

Another artist, who had the opportunity to inspire and enchant students of photography workshop, was Filip Kowalkowski. Filip is a great commercial photographer, but also a lecturer and a great speaker. The leader imposed himself a priori a limitation of using maximum two light sources at the same time. Not everyone has a whole arsenal of lights at their disposal. By rotating the modifiers with two or even one light source it is possible to create inspiring and different lighting styles, from very sharp to soft and gentle.

Some diagrams for the ambitious

The following portraits were lit with a single Godox AD300Pro with beauty dish. We were looking for classic Rembrandt type lighting. When the shadows got too intense, we brightened them with a white reflector set opposite the lamp, about a meter away.

The third set was to imitate harsh daylight. We used one Godox AD400Pro lamp with a standard reflector.

The fourth set was created with black and white style in mind. We used two lamps for it. The first one is again the Godox AD400Pro with a 120cm softbox. We placed it behind the model to make a white background. The second Godox AD300Pro was placed slightly to the right at an angle in order to illuminate the model and create interesting shadows on the left side of the portrait. Our model was Alicja Jurek, whose original beauty perfectly fit into the character of our fashion session.

See you there!

Many thanks to everyone involved in this event. To our speakers, partners and of course we would also like to thank all the participants who came to our workshops in such large numbers. We are pleased that we could share our knowledge with you, inspire and motivate you to continue learning and creating beautiful photo sets!
